3.  Face my fear of love
This summer was challenging.  I was forced to put myself out there, completely, and face the fear of love that I've had all my life.  I had to be vulnerable and transparent with these girls who were looking up to me for so many things, and be able to show them my love of Christ through my love that I poured out to them.  And in return, I received the most gracious gift of love from them, and now, I'm not afraid.  I'm not afraid to love someone with everything that I have, with the chance of being rejected.  Because this summer, I did that, and I got something so amazing in return-that love being reciprocated in the most precious friendship that I now hold with one of the most amazing young women I've known.  And it's been the best experience I've ever had.  And it's still happening.  I'm learning more and more every day about what it's like to minster to young women, some who went through some of the things I did, and some who didn't, and learning what it looks like to be that beacon of hope in a place of darkness that so many young women live in today.

7.  Learn how to play guitar
Welp, it's still a work in progress, but I'm learning!  This summer was full of me picking up songs, learning the chords, and putting it all together.  Mostly worship songs, but a few corny country songs as well.  ;)

16.  Be called "Mommy"
Before you make assumptions, no, I didn't have a child.  But I kind of, somehow, was given the chance to be a parent.  This may sound weird, but let me explain.
If you follow me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, you have more than likely heard about and seen pictures of a young lady named Mira, who I call Moo, and who calls me Mommy.  She's the one I share that precious friendship with that I talk about in number 3, and, well, she's a pretty special young woman.  She's 14 and was adopted from Russia when she was 16 months old.  Her brother, Toli, was also.  She's from Chelyabinsk, Russia, and was pretty sick when she was younger.  But thanks to her amazing parents, she was given hope, and another chance at this crazy thing called life.  And it's been incredible to be able to walk with her; through the joys, the challenges, the heartaches, and the tears.  The road gets tough at times, and there have been many moments of weakness, but we've learned from each other, through the struggles, and our friendship has grown because of it.  And because of it, I have a  beautiful daughter, and she has another "mommy".

87.  Make a difference in someone's life
I can only hope that over the course of the summer, this happened.  But from my experience, these girls have made more of a difference in my life.  They're a great group of young women.

47. Read the entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, in a year

Before I begin this post, I'm going to preface it with this:  The order of the items on my list are by no means in order of importance.  If they were, this one would be one of the first.  So, yeah... :)

47.  Read the entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, in a year

I am currently embarking on this incredible journey.  It's been interesting to see how the Lord speaks to me through chapters of the Bible that I've never even given a second glance to.

One of the best verses I've come across is Genesis 18:14.  "Is anything too hard for the Lord?"

With my summer internship creeping up on me, it's been hard for me to ignore the feelings of uncertainty that I have.

You can't do this.
You're going to fail.
How could you think you could ever be good enough for this?

Then I realize, my God is great.  And these aren't messages coming from Him, but from the one who is against me, the enemy of all enemies.  I know that this summer will be hard.  I know it will bring challenges I've never faced before.  And I know it's going to test me in ways that I've never been tested.  But God has called me to it.  And therefore, He will bring me through it.

If you would like to do this, it's an easy task (in the sense of remembering what to do).  Read 3 chapters a day, 5 on Sundays, and skip Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Eve or New Years Day.

Brittani's List of Bliss

This post was inspired by a good friend of mine, David, who recently posted his bucket list on his blog, and I was inspired to do the same.

So here it goes.  Below I plan on posting my bucket list that I have started so far, and through the posts, I plan on telling about my journey in doing each and every thing on my list.  It's going to be a journey, but I'm ready for it.

I'm going to call it "Brittani's List of Bliss".  Catchy, yeah?  ;)  Some of these things are ones that were originally on my list, and if they're in bold, that means I've already done it.  Here goes nothing!
